Original Listing: You may be wondering, can natural hand sanitizer really be effective? We turned to the CDC for their input regarding sanitizing agents, and then formulated our recipe based on their scientific standpoint. Their recommendation is that hand sanitizers should contain at least 60% alcohol. The grain alcohol used in our sanitizer contains 95% alcohol and each bottle contains 62% alcohol by volume. In addition, we chose essential oils that have proven antibacterial, antiviral, antimicrobial, and immune-boosting qualities. Aloe vera juice and coconut oil contain not only disinfecting properties but adds moisturizing elements to keep your hands from drying out. It is recommended to always choose hand-washing over sanitizing when available, but this sanitizer is an excellent substitution for when it’s not.
